Postdoctoral Fellow Position at The Department of Pathology

An NIH funded postdoctoral position is open in the laboratory of Dr. Eli Bar at the Department of Pathology, University of Maryland School of Medicine. The successful candidate will study alternative splicing in the regulation of malignant brain tumor initiation, progression, and recurrence. The study involves basic and translational cancer research and requires previous experience with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, and previous work with animal models of cancer. Applicants should possess a PhD and/or M.D. degree, with less than five years of postdoctoral experience. The ideal candidate should have a relevant technical expertise and strong communication and writing skills. First authorship in a reputable journal is required. Previous grant writing experience is highly desired but not mandatory. This position is open immediately.
