GRINNELL COLLEGE. The French program at Grinnell College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in the literatures and cultures of Francophone Africa and the African diaspora, beginning Fall 2019.  Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible.  Candidates should be able to teach at all levels of a rigorous, undergraduate curriculum, including Introductory and Intermediate French language courses, and be passionate about teaching in a liberal arts setting.  The ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programs is welcome, as is knowledge of or experience with off-campus study programs in Francophone Africa.
