Working Title: Parking Enforcement Officer - Fox Cities Official Title: Security Officer 2 Employment Class: University Staff FTE: 0.5 Compensation: $13.90 - $16.50 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Terms of Employment: Continuous Position Summary:

Patrols institution parking areas, controls traffic, and processes and handles monetary transactions in support of providing dedicated protection and security to institution properties, students, staff and visitors. May also maintain parking equipment.

Responsibilities

Investigates field incidents and documents activity according to established rules and procedures, issues citations for violations. Communicates pertinent and accurate information to law enforcement.

Maintains mechanical functions of parking meters and gate equipment.
Performs routine lot maintenance.

Directs traffic and facilitates the daily movement of pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles on institutional property.

Receives, delivers, and/or transports monetary payments from parking booths, offices, customers, and contractors; and maintains mechanical functions of parking meters and gate equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required: 1. Must have, or have the ability to obtain, a valid WI driver’s license and be authorized to drive a University vehicle upon hire.
2. Have and maintain a safe driving record - position is required to drive on patrol and move between the Oshkosh campus and Fox Cities campus.
3. Strong customer service skills including experience working well under pressure. Position will require de-escalation of people who are in a heightened emotional state. Preferred: 1. Experience and comfort driving vehicles of various sizes.
2. Demonstrated history of accurate log/record keeping and files.
3. Prior enforcement and/or related experience. To Apply:
