Job Description:

Salve Regina University invites applications for adjunct teaching positions in Philosophy for the 2020-21 academic year. The course is required of all undergraduates and is also meant to raise and consider the deepest questions of life in an experiential sense. We seek candidates who can awaken in undergraduate students experiencing philosophy for the first time a lively interest in its importance for the academic life. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of teaching excellence.


Graduate degree in philosophy required, Ph.D. preferred. Areas of Specialization must include Ethics, as the position requires teaching PHL 225 Quest for the Good Life, a theoretical Ethics course covering Plato, Aristotle, Kant and Bentham/Mill.
