General Description of Position

Under the general supervision of the Dean and the Program Chair, the adjunct instructor will provide instruction to students in various courses which could include face-to-face, on-line, laboratory and/or clinical setting. The instructor may serve as a coordinator for a group of courses or be the lead instructor for a course or courses with the program. The instructor develops and implements the course syllabus according to the program curriculum plan and SCC policies in cooperation with other faculty.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
2. Currently a certified Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. Two (2) years of work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
4. Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association
5. CPR Certification
OR
1. Masters degree Physical Therapist
2. Licensed in the State of Nebraska
3. Two (2) years of work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
4. Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association
5. CPR Certification

Desired Qualifications

1. Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
2. Work experience as a Physical Therapist within the last four years.
3. Teaching experience in a post-secondary educational institution.
