General Description of Position

Under the general supervision and direction of the Division Dean/Associate Dean and the Co-Program Chairs of the Computer Information Technology Program, the instructor is responsible for providing regular instruction, developing and updating of the courses taught in a classroom/laboratory, Internet, and or distance-learning environment. Teaching assignments for this position could include, but not limited to IT Fundamentals, Windows OS, Linux OS, Programming, Networking, Database and SQL, Network Security, and Hardware Maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associate degree in Computer Information Technology or related degree
2. Two (2) years recent industry experience in Computer Information Technology.

Desired Qualifications

1. Documentation of an advance degree or additional college training related to Computer Information Technology teaching and instruction.
2. Teaching experience in the classroom/laboratory, Internet, and or distance-learning environment
