Minimum Education/Training/Experience

Must hold a current Texas Massage therapy instructor license, plus two years experience in the field of Massage Therapy.
Must be competent with basic computer programs.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience

Associate degree or higher.
Teaching experience in Massage Therapy.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills

Mastery of course content.
Knowledge of licensing requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of TDLR rules and laws as pertains to Massage Therapy.

Job Duties

Develop and follow a course syllabus, following institutional guidelines.
Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
Meet and advise students.
Evaluate students to measure their progress in attaining course objectives.
Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.

Texas Massage Therapy Instructor License

Physical Requirements

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing.
