The Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applicants for a Director of Civil Infrastructure Laboratory & Research position in civil engineering beginning August 1, 2021.

Qualifications :

Successful candidates will possess the following requirements:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • Ability to manage day-to day activities associated with civil engineering laboratories, develop and teach undergraduate laboratories in civil engineering.
  • Ability to teach introductory/advanced level courses civil engineering.
  • Area of specialization is open, but ability to teach in the mechanics area is preferred (Vector Statics, Mechanics of Materials, structural Analysis, Soil Mechanics and Finite Element Analysis).
  • Willingness to engage in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC’s Strategic Plan, including a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Base salary: $72,828.00 per calendar year
