Two Non-Tenure-Track Research Assistant Professor positions are available in the Department of Pharmacodynamics in the College of Pharmacy to develop modern pharmacology tools for preclinical drug discovery, such as human-relevant microphysiological systems, tissue chips, and 3D cultures to provide in vitro mechanistic insight and efficacy evaluation of molecular probes in CNS or cardiometabolic therapeutic areas.

Minimum: We welcome applications from individuals with strong research backgrounds who hold a doctorate in biological or pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, biomedical engineering or closely related field and must have a minimum of three-years postgraduate research experience. Successful candidates are expected to develop an interdisciplinary research program in collaboration with other department and pharmacy faculty and offer mentorship to graduate, undergraduate students.

Preferred: 3+ years of experience developing and using advanced tissue culture systems particularly with primary and/or stem cells is preferred. Experience working with high content imaging systems and knowledge of medium to high throughput technologies is a plus. Candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and scientifically driven with proficient reasoning skills in experimental design, data statistical analysis and interpretation and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
