Position Summary

The academic division of cardiology through the department of pediatrics at the University at Buffalo has an opening for a non tenure-track pediatric cardiologist at the rank of assistant professor. The candidate will compliment a group of 3 pediatric cardiologists. Strong clinical expertise in all aspects of pediatric cardiology is needed; interest in interventional cardiology is welcomed. The duties include:

• inpatient coverage at the new state- of-the-art Oishei Children’s Hospital of the innovative Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus
• out- patient clinical duties, both at the hospital and other satellite locations

The candidate must play a strong role in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Opportunities for clinical or bench research are available including collaboration with other researchers at the Global Vascular and the Clinical Translational Research Center.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have completed three years of training in pediatric cardiology from an accredited program and has an MD and is board eligible/certified in pediatric cardiology. A fourth year of training is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with recent Hospital Medicine experience are preferred.
