Position Summary
The successful candidate will provide strategic redesign and innovation working in concert with Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Science education leaders for pathology curriculum development with a focus on active and problem based learning pedagogy. In this position, you will:
• coordinate pathology laboratory staffing and pathology case vignette development with inclusion of primary pathology data for student laboratories
• coordinate selection of students for scholastic recognition awards
• function as faculty mentor for the Pathology Medical Student Interest Group ( MSIG ) and mentor students interested in a Pathology career
• mentor junior faculty to ensure a timely academic promotion
• provide pathology expertise to 1st year student in Gross Anatomy providing initial integration of structural science with clinical medicine
• provide diagnostic expertise in Neuropathology or Laboratory Medicine/hematopathology for the University at Buffalo Pathology practice and the Great Lakes Health System.

Minimum Qualifications
• MD or MD/PhD
• Board certification by the American Board of Pathology and appropriate subspecialty certifying boards
• New York State Licensed
Preferred Qualifications
• Significant experience in medical education
• Special expertise in Neuropathology or Clinical Pathology
