Adjunct Instructor of Cosmetology
Teach various Cosmetology courses.
Must hold a current Texas Cosmetology Instructor License plus two
(2) years practice in in the field of cosmetology.
Must be competent with basic computer programs.
Associate Degree in Cosmetology. Teaching experience in
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Mastery of course content.
Thorough knowledge and application of TDLR rules and
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Experience teaching in both lab and classroom settings.
Lesson plan preparation.
Knowledge of TDLR exam requirements.
Develop and follow course syllabus, following institutional
Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
Meet with and advise students
Evaluate students to measure their progress in attaining course
Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
Current Texas Cosmetology Instructor license.
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching,
reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing
and repetitive motions.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible
amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull
or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
