The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a general cardiologist to teach and provide clinical cardiology services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at the Assistant Professor level on a clinical educator pathway. Expertise in echocardiography, including TEE and stress echo is required. Additional interest in healthcare disparities, access to care and quality improvement initiatives is desirable. The ideal candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of echocardiography, general cardiology and academic programs at the University of Maryland Medical Center with a primary focus on providing and optimizing clinical care and teaching at the Midtown Campus.

Qualifications :

This position requires a MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine. The individual we seek will have fellowship training in cardiology with an emphasis on echocardiography and will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching.

Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
