The College of Education Dean’s Office oversees four academic units and their programs; furthermore, it is responsible for the administrative support in the areas of assessment and evaluation. The Dean’s Office collaborates with the local business and the educational community for the purpose of enhancing partnerships and student placement opportunities.
The College of Education Dean’s Office is seeking a part-time Student Praxis Success Tutor/Mentor. This position involves mentoring undergraduate and or/graduate students to pass the Praxis Core and/or Praxis II test.
Discuss specific topics/subject areas with students
Review practice homework assignments and test scores, and work through problems or questions that were answered incorrectly
Employ proven study aides to prepare for the Praxis Core/Praxis II test
Take notes during tutoring sessions to follow up with student questions
Work Schedule: Evenings after 5:00 p.m.
Estimated Hours: 15 hours

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills
Established proficiency in subject matter
Able to develop positive rapport with students
Desire to assist others
Academic excellence in Writing and/or Mathematics.
