THE INSTITUTE OF HUMAN VIROLOGY FACULTY POSITION

As part of the ongoing expansion of the Institute of Human Virology (IHV; www.ihv.org) invites applications for faculty positions at the ranks of Assistant, Associate or full Professor, commensurate with independent research experience. However, rank and tenure status are dependent on the candidate's qualifications. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degrees and a track record of high-impact and creative research.

Formed in 1996 as a partnership between the State of Maryland, the City of Baltimore, and the University of Maryland, IHV combines the disciplines of basic science, epidemiology and clinical research in a concerted effort to speed the discovery of diagnostics and therapeutics for a wide variety of chronic and deadly microbial infections and immune disorders. As a dynamic research institute now at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, all IHV faculty members hold appointments in School of Medicine departments and have access to resources and benefits thereof. Successful candidates are expected to maintain active research programs and participate in department teaching and service opportunities.
