Job Description:

The Department of Computer Science at MCLA invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach the following courses for spring of 2020:

CSCI 347: Object Oriented Design:

Investigates system design using the standard object oriented design methodology. The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is covered extensively, as are the tools and diagrams associated with it. The course incorporates the use of software design tools and applications used in industry

CSCI 343: Full Stack Development:

Focuses on the development of web-based applications. This course merges the concepts learned in Web Development and Database Development to form traditional persistent multi-tiered web-based systems. Prerequisite: CSCI 121, CSCI 236, CSCI 243

The courses meet in-person at MCLA. The Spring 2020 semester dates: Jan. 22 - May 11, 2020.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Teach course(s) in specific discipline
  • Responsible for instructional preparation and assessment of student performance
  • Provide assistance to students by appointment



Requirements:
  • M.S. preferred, or professionally qualified with relevant work or educational experience

Please note that all part-time instructor postings are for adjunct pools. Positions may or may not be immediately available, however whenever openings occur, department chairs will turn to the adjunct pools to fill the openings.

Applicants to these pools will not hear back on their status unless an opening occurs and the department chairs decides he/she wishes to interview that candidate to possibly fill the new opening.
