The Communications Department at Albright College, a dynamic liberal arts college in Reading, PA, seeks an Assistant Professor in Public Relations and Advertising, with the appointment beginning August 2018. The successful candidate will teach courses in our Public Relations and Advertising track, including Campaign Planning, Writing for Public Relations & Advertising, and Public Relations & Advertising Research, and serve as a mentor to students desiring careers in the field. Additionally, this faculty member will contribute to our general education curriculum as well as our department’s core curriculum, teaching classes such as Media and Society, Communication Theories, and Communications Research. Teaching load is six undergraduate courses per year. The new faculty member is encouraged to contribute to our department’s reputation for community engagement by overseeing internships and experiential learning projects.  Ph.D. or ABD in Communications or a related field required; professional experience in public relations and advertising highly desirable. Experience or interest in digital initiatives and Spanish-language or Latino media is a plus.
