English. Cottey College, a small liberal arts and sciences college for women, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in rhetoric and composition, starting August 2018. Teaching load typically includes four courses each semester, including first-year writing courses; each composition class is capped at 15. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in college teaching and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition (ABD with firm defense date considered). We are looking for individuals who can immediately contribute to our developing Writing Minor, with a demonstrated ability to teach rhetoric, first-year writing, and/or creative writing courses. Expertise in ESL pedagogy desirable. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications begins January 15 and continues until the position is filled.
