Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (2 posts) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 499369), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or equivalent, and a strong background in organic chemistry and its application to the design and synthesis of organic molecular, and polymeric materials research. They should have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, good organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently, and be creative and self-motivated. Experience in column chromatography, GPC, HPLC, NMR and HRMS (MALDI-TOF and ESI) would be desirable. The appointees will be expected to work at a dynamic, diverse and forward-thinking department in an international working environment. They will work under the supervision of Dr. Junzhi Liu. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
