FACULTY POSITION
Assistant/Associate Professor/Associate Rank Eligible
Applicants are invited to apply for two Tenure-track faculty positions at the ranks of Assistant/Associate Professor for appointments that will begin August 2018. U.S. News and World Report have ranked the Graduate School of Social Service (GSS) at Fordham University in the top 10% in the nation. GSS is located in the heart of NYC at Lincoln Center and has campuses in Westchester and Long Island as well as international programs. GSS offers a unique range of programs including a baccalaureate, masters and doctoral program, an on-line MSW program and, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Business Administration, a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Leadership. As an integral part of a Jesuit University, GSS educates and prepares social workers to serve diverse populations with a human rights and social justice framework. GSS is a collegial and supportive community of scholars recognized for their outstanding research and their collective dedication to teaching excellence.
We are seeking highly qualified candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: 1) Healthcare - behavioral health practice, health care systems, public health and health disparities; 2) Direct/Clinical Practice with individuals, families and groups. Applicants who are committed to progressive curriculum development, innovative program development, and inter-professional research and collaboration will be given particular consideration.
Candidates must hold an MSW and a doctorate in social work or a related discipline. In addition, candidates must have a significant record of research and scholarship commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor.
