The School of Music is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Musicology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2018. Candidates should be engaging successful teacher-scholars with multi-disciplinary teaching expertise and interests in American music (including popular styles), music of non-western traditions, and western music. Areas of expertise that complement those of current faculty are preferred. 

Teaching responsibilities include introductory musicology courses for both majors and non-majors, as well as graduate and undergraduate seminars and special topics courses. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly/ creative activity, and college and university service. PhD in Musicology or Ethnomusicology required. 
As all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly seeking applicants who can demonstrate the interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in this program.
