Job Description

The Howard Feiertag Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) in the Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech Invites applications for the position of Visiting Instructor to begin August 2022.
This position is an Academic Year, full time teaching appointment that starts on August 10, 2022 and ends on May 9, 2023. The selected individual will teach four sections of the 4-credit hour course HTM Food Preparation, Purchasing and Management in both fall and springer semester.

Required Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree in Culinary Management or related field.
Extensive professional experience in unit-level dining/food services (extensive executive level of food services can waive the baccalaureate requirement in exceptional cases only).
Experience teaching food production and management in an academic setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the Pamplin College of Business HTM Food Lab.
