Job Description

Instructor. Piano. Full-time, 9-month contract. Salary commensurate with training and experience. Start Date: August 10, 2022. Duties: teach class piano and keyboard skills; teach instrumental and vocal accompanying skills; coach ensembles; collaborate with faculty and guest artists in recitals; accompany faculty recitals, guest recitals, sophomore continuation exams, senior recitals, and student juries; coordinate accompanying activities. The successful applicant will maintain an active professional profile on a national level. Additional duties are dependent upon the qualifications and interests of the applicant and the needs of the School of Performing Arts.

Required Qualifications

Doctoral degree in piano or collaborative piano. Significant professional and academic experience as a collaborative pianist.

Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of significant performing experience as a collaborative artist. Experience coordinating accompanying activities at the collegiate level. Experience teaching piano-related courses at the collegiate level.
