Job Description:

Title: Data Analyst
Department: Latino Education Institute

General Statement of Duties:
Under the leadership of the Assistant Vice President, the Data Analyst will be gathering data through community narratives and using the data from the narratives to support communication and field activities for the REACH initiatives of the LEI. This position will be facilitating collaboration between partners, funders and community residents for the REACH project. The position will be working closely with REACH Health Ambassadors/Promotores de Salud to inform communications and outreach efforts. Candidate must be a supportive, willing, positive, and energetic participant in the implementation of the outcome measurement system.

Responsibilities:

1. Engage in field outreach with REACH projects to understand the needs of the community around REACH equity.
2. Conduct an inventory of community organizations that have a primary mission of supporting Latinos/a/e residents in Worcester.
3. Conduct analyses of program participants using existing data.
4. Engage organizations in supporting focus groups and individual interviews with families and students.
5. Help in creating messaging and campaigns on health impact.
6. Contribute to the development of messages for the LEI social platforms on REACH focus areas.
7. Able to conduct focus groups and interviews with community residents.
8. Generate reports with data and community narratives for community wide meetings.
9. Represent the Latino Education Institute at various community meetings.
10. Attend LEI Meetings and contribute to the improvement of the project initiatives and meet with funders and/or partners to share the findings and data.
12. Assist in the overall sharing of data and reporting for the REACH projects.
13. Other duties as assigned, including supporting other staff and representing the organization as needed.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally.
2. Strong work ethic and commitment to positive youth development.
3. Success in prioritizing and meeting multiple demands and deadlines.
4. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work collaboratively, manage own work and time, and be accountable for performance.
5. Alignment and agreement with the vision, mission, and values of the Latino Education Institute.
6. Reliable access to transportation and ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years of experience working with persons from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
2. Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment.
3. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, cross-functional, and multi-cultural environment.
4. Bilingual preferred
