The University of Indianapolis is currently accepting applications for an Adjunct Faculty - Department of Psychological Sciences: History & Systems of Psychology to teach in the Department of Psychological Sciences for the fall semester (August 2022). This is a part-time, non-tenure track position.

This individual will teach a graduate-level class in History & Systems of Psychology to Masters and Doctoral-level students. The course is currently scheduled to be taught on Mondays from 6-8:50 pm. There is a strong preference for candidates who can teach the course in person, but individuals who are only able to teach online (asynchronous or synchronous), may be considered.

There may be opportunities to teach additional courses at the graduate and/or undergraduate level depending on the candidate’s interest and area of expertise.

  • Teach a course with clear outcomes and meaningful assignments that is rigorous, inclusive, engaging, and interactive
  • Assess student learning outcomes as required by the department
  • Be responsive to student emails and be open to meeting with students as needed, even if through electronic means
  • Model effective teaching and professionalism
  • Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology or related field required
  • Experience teaching graduate-level classes preferred
