Southern Virginia University seeks an open-rank, full-time faculty member in Management or related field. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in organizational behavior, human resource management and leadership. They will demonstrate excellence in and passion for student learning. A Ph.D. is preferred, but candidates with a Master’s degree will also be considered. 

The typical teaching load is four courses per semester. Course enrollments are capped around 25 students, and the ideal candidate will be adept at working with and advising students of various experience and academic preparation, as well as serving in committee assignments with academic colleagues. 

Southern Virginia seeks business faculty members who exemplify excellence and who can, in partnership with a strong university Core curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, raise the intellectual, spiritual, and temporal outcomes of its students. Relevant professional experience, innovative teaching, experience with the case method and a strong commitment to student learning are preferred. Field of specialization is open, but the ideal candidate will demonstrate willingness to teach broadly in the discipline and ability to engage students at both principles and advanced levels. Southern Virginia emphasizes excellence in teaching, but the candidate should also continue in scholarly development and contribution.
