This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. 1. Lead the Registrar’s Office in the absence of the Registrar.
2. Records management to include: transcripts, diplomas, FERPA, records storage and retention. Oversee e-transcript services (Parchment/ NSC ) and troubleshoot as needed.
3. Assist with management of office operations and customer service.
4. Serve as a resource to students, faculty, and staff regarding policy, academic questions, course set up and general problem solving.
5. Interview, help select, and train staff. Direct and supervise Academic Resource Specialists. Perform annual performance appraisals, plan work, assign duties, and discipline as needed.
6. Conduct degree counseling to include: current students, returning students and transfer students with graduation requirement concerns. Provide clarification of catalog policy, procedures, graduation requirements, rules and regulations for support staff, faculty, department chairs, and deans.
7. Conduct preliminary, mid, and final graduation reviews by analyzing degree audits, transcripts, and the Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs to determine remaining degree requirements, major and/or minor requirements, all required GPAs, total hours, general education requirements, and admission to specific programs. Serve as final authorization that degree requirements have been met and authorize the posting of degrees on transcripts and release of diplomas.
8. Manage all communication flows to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff via e-mail, MyCentral, Facebook, Twitter, UCM Daily, UCM Weekly, Slate, Textcaster, the monthly Registrar newsletter.
9. Edit and maintain Registrar and graduation web pages using Omni CMS /Modern Campus for the UCM website.

Two years progressively responsible experience in a functional area of enrollment management or advising with preference given to individuals with previous professional work experience in a Registrar’s Office.   • Available two Fridays/Saturdays (and possible Sundays) per year for Commencement duties.
  • Available on occasional Sundays or after regular hours for technology testing and upgrades (as back up to Assistant Registrar)
  • Occasional evening/weekend work during busy times (start up, end of term, etc.)
  • Ability to work with individuals experiencing fear, frustration, anger, and other strong emotions.
