Job Description

The University of Missouri is pleased to announce an opening for a Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator to work in The Connector. This position works to develop, coordinate, implement and organize science outreach and public engagement programming, consult with faculty on broader impacts for federal funding proposals, and work with the Division of Research, Innovation & Impact and the Office of Extension & Engagement staff to evaluate and assess public engagement programming.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

+Assist in the coordination, development
+implementation of broader impacts programming such as the popular Extra Credit movie series collaboration with Rag Tag Cinema and the Young Scientist Expo
+Provide consultation and training for faculty, staff, and community members on broader impacts plans for federal funding opportunities
+serve as a liaison between Connector and other academic institutions, corporate and community
+Increase awareness and marketing of Connector and its services, desktop publishing, social media, and other daily administrative tasks
+coordinate and teach in the graduate certificate in public engagement

Salary

$47,476 - $84,505

Grade: GGS 10

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s or PhD preferred; 2+ years experience in broader impacts and/or engagement
