Job Summary

The Applications Systems Analyst supports the implementation and maintenance of numerous enrollment-related software solutions and supports technology operations for departments within the Division of Enrollment Management, including Undergraduate Admissions, University Scholarships, and central divisional Enrollment Management efforts.
The position serves as a member of the Enrollment Technology team, works collaboratively with the Enrollment Management Business Analyst, and under the direction of the Vice President for Enrollment in an environment where high-quality solutions and continuous service improvements are expected. This position serves as part of a team to facilitate better enrollment technology strategies. The analyst performs complex computer programming tasks and technology support.

Essential Functions

Essential functions include but are not limited to designing technology processes and systems to support the University’s enrollment efforts; coordinating service delivery for technology operations in Enrollment Management works with campus partners to facilitate technology initiatives and working with vendors to evaluate, prioritize, deploy, and maintain systems and solutions. This position will work with the Ellucian Banner Student Information System, Slate, the Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) Database, Blackbaud Award Management, and other technologies/solutions. The position directly performs, develops, tests, and trains the components of these solutions. The Analyst is responsible for using these solutions to further the division and University’s strategic plan, working closely with the central Office of Information Technology.

-Coordinate the introduction, management, building, research, execution, and training of enrollment management software solutions to meet the needs of departments within the division.
-Design, prioritize, and deploy services and workflows related to enrollment, admissions, recruiting, scholarship, and other applications and deploying and servicing other core campus software initiatives.
-Develop SQL reports and queries, document workflows, and oversee and recommend best procedures, processes, and workflows.
-Coordinate the review of data integrations between enrollment software and work on any outstanding issues in the data integrity and discrepancies; research and rectify data issues and work with the leadership within the division to improve processes.
-Review and grant security access to supported software solutions; set up proper security groups, fields, and shared views to allow for a secure database architecture; and serve as a day-to-day technical and functional contact for offices and internal stakeholders concerning supported software.
-Serve as an Academic Computing Coordinator ( ACC ) and assist with account and systems access; directory services and access control.
-Serve as the technical liaison and representative for Enrollment Management on IT related functions.
-Position may serve on advisory & installation committees involved with installing new or upgraded administrative systems or processes and serves as a liaison for Enrollment Management between central technology support, other university departments, and vendors in implementing and maintaining pertinent systems.

The Specialist V position requires a Bachelor’s degree and Four (4) or more years of applicable experience as indicated. The starting salaries for this level are between $64,000 and $75,000.

The Specialist VI position requires a Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) or more years of applicable experience. The starting salaries for this level are typically between $73,000 and $85,000.

This position will work with the Banner student system, CRM Slate and Blackbaud Award Management, and other enrollment-related technologies/solutions.
Experience with Office 365 applications and deployments, including administration of Outlook, Teams, Forms, Flow, et al. Knowledge of Banner and related SIS . Knowledge of API systems and web development programs such as ASP . NET Familiarity with standard Banner forms and tables. Proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, i.e., thorough application testing and requirements gathering
Demonstrated experience with relational database management systems (such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server); experience should include reviewing/analyzing data structures and writing SQL queries.
Experience with Ellucian Banner suite of products including Banner Document Management, Banner Workflow, and the Operational Data Store. Experience working with Technolutions Slate or another CRM .
Experience working on collaborative projects and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience developing and presenting user and technical documentation.
