Job Description:

One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science. The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Rhodes College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor beginning in August 2022. The teaching responsibility is six courses a year which could include any courses in the computer science curriculum that seem like a good fit for the candidate with the opportunity to add upper-level courses in the candidate's area of specialization to our curriculum. Candidates must have completed all requirements for a Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field by August 2022.

Computer Science at Rhodes College is thriving and has grown rapidly in recent years. Faculty have unique opportunities to connect their scholarly activity with a growing community of passionate computer science students as well as existing and emerging interdisciplinary programs. In 2017, Computer Science moved into a newly renovated building that includes three computer labs, traditional classrooms, a hardware lab, student research space, and faculty offices.
