Position Summary

The Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting for a postdoctoral associate. This position supported by a joint project between the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo. The candidate will be located at Canon Stroke and Vascular Research Center ( CSVRC ) where (s)he will work under the supervision of Drs Ciprian Ionita and Jason Davies.

The candidate will:
  • Lead the research to develop new machine learning methods to predict delayed cerebral ischemia in patient with subarachnoid hemorrhage.
  • Mentor and collaborate with undergraduate/MS students and PhD candidates on research.
  • Write quarterly scientific reports and manuscripts to be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Give annual scientific presentations to nationwide catalysis and emission control conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in biomedical, mechanical or computer engineering
  • Good computer programming skills in Python
  • Good understanding and experience with CFD
