Under general supervision the Assistant Director Leasing & Collections is responsible for managing the entire marketing, leasing, and collections process for Residential Life & Housing. Providing leadership and direction to all Leasing & Collections Coordinators in the department. Essential Duties Summary
  • Provide leadership and direction to all Residential Life & Housing Leasing & Collections Coordinators.
  • Designs and ensures that the leasing process for RLH is properly maintained and updated timely.
  • Manages the Star Rez software system and trains Leasing & Collections Coordinators and other RLH staff on system updates. Will be responsible for all department audit request.
  • Presents RLH leasing process to other departments and orientations both internally and externally.
  • Implement and maintain a thorough annual marketing plan. Implement daily and weekly goals. Work closely with Director and staff to ensure all potential marketing avenues are being fully utilized.
  • Promote harmonious relations among residents, parents, staff, and surrounding community, while enforcing university policies and standards.
  • Coordinate advertising events on campus; create partnerships with school and student programs whenever possible.
  • Actively network with local higher education and city officials to establish effective working relationships for the benefit of the property and its residents.
  • Develop knowledge of campus and community resources to ensure timely and efficient referrals when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate an on-going commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice by addressing the needs and concerns of underrepresented students.
  • Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful community.

1.0 Hiring Range $63,840.00 - $79,801.00 Education
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited four- year college or university.

Master’s degree preferred. Required Licensing/Certification
Driver’s License preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
  • Star Rez software.
  • Policies, procedures, practices, and equipment.
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.

Skill in:
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Multitasking and time management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, counseling, communication, organization, and facilitation.
  • Both verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
  • Direct and manage leasing and collection coordinators.
  • Maintain a positive reputation, and relationship with university and community.
  • Performs duties within scope of general University policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments.
  • Make recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
Work Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience.

Requires a broad knowledge of the application of Star Rez software. Working/Environmental Conditions
  • Limited to sitting or standing.
  • Some stooping, lifting, or carrying objects of light weight may be required.
