About the Opportunity

Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business Corporate Learning and Professional Studies group serves a large, multi-faceted global audience of executives and professionals, delivering customized learning opportunities on a variety of relevant economic, organizational and leadership driven industry topics. Programs are non-credit bearing, developed collaboratively with our clients and faculty team, delivered through virtual, online and in-person formats.

The Program Manager position is a critical team member and plays a vital role in delivering operational excellence for client-based customized programs. The Program Manager has a diverse set of responsibilities including ensuring effective delivery on all assigned operational activities of education programs, management of program logistics, data analysis of participant feedback, and relationship management for all involved stakeholders. Project management capability is critical to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and entities. Position interacts directly with global companies within the Northeastern corporate partner ecosystem to support talent development of executives and professionals through programs that include but not limited to innovation, business transformation programs, strategic business decision-making and operational financial leadership as examples.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Program Manager works closely with Senior Program Manager and has management responsibilities of graduate student employees.

Position requires a high level of professionalism and responsiveness with substantial interaction with the corporate community, both domestic and international, all levels of faculty, and ability to interact with university based cross functional departments.

The Program Manager position is a remote/hybrid position. Work may be performed remotely with the expectation of required time on-campus as needed. Position provides robust benefits package including generous paid-time off, and tuition benefits.

2. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Project Management: Coordinate, manage and administer the timely execution of corporate learning programs and projects in collaboration with the Associate Director.
  • Identify and schedule program deliverables, milestones and required tasks for synchronous and asynchronous learning.
  • Utilize technology to streamline delivery of program materials including database management and online applications.
  • Manage & deliver live virtual programs using a virtual platform as required in the program design.
  • Be a strategic partner and contributor with stakeholders involved in growth in digital corporate learning.
  • Support contract development for clients and faculty, following though and troubleshooting issues that may arise through client and/or university contracts offices.
  • Manage vendors, negotiating terms as needed.
  • Work with faculty and staff to develop corporate learning program materials and assets.
  • Develop and maintain templates and manuals for program implementation.
  • Participant in ongoing project continuous operational improvements
  • Independently responsible for project based prioritization to meet program deadlines for multiple programs simultaneously. Program Management:
  • Prepare and manage program evaluations and program status reports.
  • While programs are being delivered on-campus or off-site (which may require travel), serve as on-site program manager.
  • Prepare faculty payroll, invoices and expenses for assigned programs
  • Maintain ongoing partnerships with faculty, clients, participants, venue staff and vendors. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, faculty and internal university departments
  • Excellent dissemination of information and communications to all stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate and complete program files including delivery schedules on all assigned programs, to ensure smooth delivery of future programs 60%
  • Host virtual program deliveries and lead breakout sessions as required
  • Maintain highest level of customer service and response
