Description: Per course adjunct faculty for the Master of Arts in Teaching program's course, MAIT 410-01.

Qualifications:
MAIT 410-01 - Special Topics in Education: Building Community through the Arts

In person - Moraga, CA campus, September 1, 2022 - December 8, 2022, Thursday, 4:15pm - 7:00pm

Building Community Through Art is a community art-based course intended to deepen students’ understanding of key contributions to the field of visual art and their connection to education. The course will also aid students in the development of artistic skills, pedagogy and confidence in their craft. Throughout the term, students will engage with numerous artistic mediums such as collage and watercolor, while establishing core understandings and fundamentals. Students will engage with a framework for artistic critique to create and present original works. The course will conclude with an Online Community Art Show and Celebration organized and curated by the students themselves.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Education-related field

5 years of K-12 teaching experience

Higher education teaching experience preferred
