UCM’s main campus is located in Warrensburg, which is 35 miles southeast of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The individual selected for this position will be assigned to the Lee’s Summit location. The School of Nursing offers both undergraduate and graduate accredited nursing programs.

Position Purpose

The School of Nursing at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for a one-year grant-funded onsite, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Instructor. The appointment will begin August 2022. We are looking for faculty who are committed to provide quality in nursing education.

The Position’s responsibilities include teaching graduate level nursing courses with administrative duties in the Post Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) Certificate program. Development and/or curriculum revisions will be dependent upon program assessment and accreditation and school needs.

Master’s degree in Nursing required.
Doctorate in Nursing ( DNP or PhD) preferred.

Required Qualifications
• 2 years nursing experience within the last 5 years.
• Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri, or compact license.
• Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP national certification and current, active, unencumbered FNP licensure in Missouri and Kansas.
