Job Summary

The Lecturer, Science Librarian position for the Library is responsible for providing general reference and bibliographic instruction services and participating in collection development for print and electronic resources generally and especially in the Sciences and in Nursing; assisting in the electronic reserves system and participating in the regular rotation of evening and weekend work; and research/creative activity, public service, and involvement in professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program
   2. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
   3. Strong service orientation
   4. Demonstrated experience and familiarity with searching online databases and the Internet
   5. Experience with microcomputer applications
   6. Working knowledge of HTML
   7. Ability to work with users of varying technical abilities
