Summary:

School of Social Work is seeking an Coordinator for Community Engaged Child and Family Well-Being Initiatives. This full-time, twelve-month, University and Academic Professional position is grant funded and reports directly to the Child Welfare Stipend Program Coordinator. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional support to the CWSP Coordinator to build program capacity and community engagement. This includes managing program communications, recruitment, selection/admission processes, record keeping, reporting, and monitoring participant education, training and post graduation requirements. This position will support the development of CWSP strategic planning, programming, develop and assign CWSP appropriate field placement sites in coordination with the Office of Field Education (OFE), and collaborate with and participate on the CWSP Advisory Committee. This role will partner to plan and execute program evaluation, support student and alumni engagement during the CWSP and post graduation.This position will support the CWSP, CRAFFT, and other related projects. They will be expected to attend and participate in program events, meetings, orientations, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Hiring Standards

MSW degree from a CSWE accredited university,
Practice experience in child welfare,
Experience with a social services agency,
Excellent written and oral communication skills,
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail,
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment,
Ability to handle large volume of communication with students and community partners,
Ability to handle large volume of data from students and community partners,
Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines,
Ability to use independent judgment, initiative and decision making in daily tasks,
Demonstrated leadership in establishing and sustaining relationships in the community,
Experience in the development and implementation of program planning and management,
Ease in working with technology, databases, and online teaching platforms,
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a UAP member at VCU.

Preferred Hiring Standards

Two years post MSW practice experience,
Public child welfare experience in prevention, foster care and/or adoption in the Commonwealth of Virginia,
Field education supervision experience as a field instructor and/or task supervisor,
Experience writing and managing grant and research projects,
Experience with program development, management, and evaluation,
Familiarity with state, local and community-based organizations.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000
