Job Description:
The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology within the College of Public Health and Health Professions invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor in the area of clinical health psychology. The ideal candidate will have a clinical interest in solid organ transplantation.

This position will provide clinical service, mentorship, and education within the UF Health Science Center, including our outpatient UF Health Psychology Specialties Clinic. We welcome junior faculty applications. Our department has a mentoring program designed to assist junior faculty in their professional identity and development.

This is a full- time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure track, 12-month position, with an open start date.

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology ( http://chp.phhp.ufl.edu ) is a unique, freestanding academic clinical psychology program with 44 core faculty, over 80 doctoral students, and two APA accredited programs: a doctoral program in clinical psychology and a clinical internship in professional psychology.

The Department has a 50-year history of providing APA-accredited doctoral and internship training in clinical psychology and advanced specialty-specific training in four content areas of concentration: Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology; Clinical Health Psychology; Neuropsychology; and Cognitive and Emotion Neuroscience. The doctoral program has been ranked in the 93rd percentile by the National Research Council’s data-based ranking system.

UF is ranked as a top ten U.S. public university and is a comprehensive Research I institution that includes a wide range of academic departments and programs ( www.ufl.edu ). The College of Public Health and Health Professions ( www.phhp.ufl.edu ) is part of the University’s Health Science Center. The UF Health Science Center ( https://ufhealth.org/about-us) is the country’s only academic health center with six health-related colleges located on a single, contiguous campus. They include the colleges of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, and Veterinary Medicine. The Health Science Center generates more than half of UF’s total research awards. The UF Health Science Center is closely affiliated with UF Health, part of the University of Florida Health System. Within the healthcare system are an 850 bed teaching hospital, an 81-bed psychiatric hospital, a 40 bed outpatient rehabilitation facility, and numerous outpatient and specialty clinics including a Psychology Specialties Clinic run by the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. Expected Salary:

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field. Candidates must be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include postdoctoral work in clinical psychology and a demonstrated interest in working with patients experiencing transplant services.

Commitment to working with diverse populations and experience in an academic health center is preferred.
