Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology

 

The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Texas A&M International University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor (nontenure-track, 9-month position) in the area of biology to begin Fall 2022. Primary duties include teaching introductory and upper level courses for the biology program.

 

Job Duties:

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate and maintain a commitment to teaching in introductory and advanced lectures and laboratories in Biology for science majors and non-majors. Prepares and utilizes a course syllabus and assessments for each course using guidelines established by the institution.

 

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold an earned doctorate in Biology. ABDs will also be considered but must have earned a doctorate before appointment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Experience as a teaching assistant will be considered. Computer skills.
