Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director of Regional Enrollment - Southeast
Job Summary:
The Assistant/Sr. Assistant Director of Regional Enrollment is a fully remote position in the southeast region and will assist with the development and implementation of first-year student recruitment and yield plans that are consistent with Miami University's mission and goals. In addition, all positions are responsible for the understanding and upholding of Miami University’s and Enrollment Management and Student Success’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion statements, values and goals. This position will be primarily responsible for recruiting in the Southeast region including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, with additional territories assigned as needed and handling the follow up for an assigned territory to be determined during or prior to recruitment cycles.
Duties/Physical Demands:
Assistant/Sr. Assistant Director
Manage a geographic student recruitment territory. Make regularly
scheduled recruitment visits to schools within a geographic area to
meet with prospective students and counselors. Maintain
relationships with counselors, and participate in regional events.
Leverage data to monitor and respond to enrollment trends.
Correspond with students and their families through prospect
management including the use of email, phone calls, and social
media. Perform counselor on call duties as assigned.
Coordinate and participate in on and off-campus student recruitment
and yield events and campaigns.
Conduct application review.
Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of
assigned projects.
Work collaboratively with University constituents to streamline and
improve processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant Director: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one year
of experience with progressively responsible duties or Master’s
Degree with no experience required.
Senior Assistant Director: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of two
years of experience with progressively responsible duties or a
Master’s Degree and a minimum of one year of experience.
Experience in recruitment and territory management, or similar
experience in counseling, sales, marketing, or related field;
excellent communication skills, including public speaking and
writing ability; high level of organizational and self-starting
skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; demonstrated
commitment to recruiting individuals from diverse backgrounds;
knowledge of and experience with computer systems and various
software applications, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint; ability to lift 30-40 lbs of recruiting materials;
valid driver's license; ability to perform overnight travel
This position is available to persons who are currently located and
authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and
indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis
include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card”
holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under
IRCA
This position is not eligible for H1-B Visa or OPT support. It is
not eligible for PERM sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of the recruitment region; ability to
communicate in Spanish.
Residence (or willingness to reside) in the Atlanta metro
area
