About the Position

The Placement Coordinator - Education position will collaborate with graduate students, faculty in education programs, the Partnership Coordinator, and Director of Strategic Partnerships and Placement to develop and maintain good working relationships with school districts and to place graduate candidates in school and district sites.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities

Placement (70% of the time)
  • Collaborate with faculty in education programs to understand and respond to placement needs of multiple academic programs.

  • Maintain an understanding of the licensing requirements of academic programs.

  • Communicate with graduate students about placement processes.

  • Work with district partners to facilitate placement of graduate candidates from different graduate school programs in school and district sites.

Data Collection and Review (15%)
  • Collect licensure and employment data from mentors, supervisors, and/or students for tracking and accreditation purposes.

  • Review and monitor data for completeness.

  • Work with the internal team to ensure ongoing process improvement.

Development of Placement Opportunities (15%)
  • In collaboration with Strategic Partnerships and Placement colleagues, develop and maintain good working relationships with school district partners.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Three years of experience working on teams to build partnerships between higher education and schools/districts.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, interact, and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.

  • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner on complex assignments.

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

  • Ability to meet timelines, deliverables, think critically, and exercise independent judgment while recognizing when additional input is needed to make a decision.

  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in alignment with the social justice mission of the graduate school.

  • Excellent email, other electronic, and oral communication skills.

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system.

  • Ability to read, review, and ensure completeness of detailed placement data reports.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree

  • Experience working with educator endorsement/licensure programs, e.g. ESOL, Special Education, Teacher Leadership, Educational Administration.

Work Schedule:
  • Part time

  • 30 hours per week
