Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager (MM) role is to support overall marketing activities that drive brand awareness, inquiries, visits, applications, enrollment, and support student persistence. The MM will work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Marketing in the development of marketing strategies. The MM will work with the marketing team in the development of copy for marketing materials including print, email, social, and web content. The MM will contribute to the development of the social editorial calendar and assist with social media content development. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for specific programs/initiatives as assigned.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Create marketing copy for different audiences and media channels including email, social, web, print, ad copy
  • Review copy performance and make changes based on data
  • Responsible for managing specific programs and initiatives, which includes creating Project Briefs, setting up projects and tasks in our project management tool and managing timelines and creative feedback from project stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the social media editorial and email content calendars
  • Collaborate with various constituents around campus, particularly with faculty and other administrative offices to gather content/stories
  • Serves as backup for social posting/scheduling
  • Other duties as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The MM will manage the Social Content Creator, a newly created position and assist with management of student worker as needed.

Budget Responsibilities

The MM may be responsible for some social media budget spend if needed.

Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate that they possess general marketing knowledge, strong copywriting and project management skills, and abilities to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
    Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field required
  • 5+ years of copywriting marketing related content for a variety of channels required
  • Strong project management skills required
  • Staff management experience preferred
  • Social media strategy and management skills desired
  • Experience of working with social scheduling and listening tools such Sprout or HootSuite preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tool such as Asana or Wrike desired
  • Working knowledge of CRM and CMS platform preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with various timelines at once
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional collaboration skills
  • A keen eye for details
  • Ability to respectfully work, communicate and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.

Compensation and Benefits: The starting salary range for this position begins at $65,000 annually and final salary decisions are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.
