The Secure, Trusted, and assured Microelectronics (STAM) Center and the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence (SCAI) in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) seeks applicants for a research professor (all ranks) with a strong applied cryptography and post-quantum cryptography background.  The STAM team has developed a set of highly optimized, parameterizable hardware modules to service as building blocks for faster design space exploration of post-quantum cryptosystems, especially the systems using Ring-LWE algorithms.  This position would begin August 2022.

This is a non-tenure track appointment with a fixed term academic year contract. Appointments will be made at the rank of Assistant Research Professor, Associate Research Professor or Research Professor commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments. 

The successful candidate for this position will have a strong academic background in programming languages, applied cryptography, and machine learning. 

This position requires an earned PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related discipline.
