Flagstaff is at the center of nationally recognized examples of collaborative landscape-scale restoration of forest ecosystems, such as the Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4FRI) and the Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project. A variety of local and regional stakeholders (such as the Greater Flagstaff Forests Partnership) and state, tribal, and federal land managers are interested in effective product/market/technology options that are compatible with restoration-oriented forest management.
