International recruitment/admissions is essential to meeting University enrollment goals, providing both revenue and diversification of the student body. The Associate Director has a strategic role in supporting the Director and international team in the development and implementation of the recruitment/admissions plan.

Responsibilities include coordinating engagement with international prospects and applicants at all stages of the application, admission, and enrollment process utilizing CRM and appropriate communication platforms; detailed knowledge of international credentials and policies; working closely within the university community – the academic divisions, staff and faculty, the Center for International Services and international student ambassador programs; and externally- with international organizations, agencies, and embassies.

The Associate Director will serve as supervisor and provide overall guidance to the two assistant directors. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s preferred
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in international admissions preferred
  • US passport
  • Valid US driver’s license

  • Expansive knowledge of international markets, particularly China and Southeast Asia
  • Ongoing enhancement of understanding international people, culture, and education
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience in reading international applications
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills

  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, PeopleSoft, OnBase, Slate
Responsibilities
  • Research and provide data driven input to develop the strategic international recruitment plan.
  • Facilitate planning, coordination, and implementation of recruitment and admissions activities conducted abroad by the University’s schools and colleges and regional staff.
  • Stay current on international cultural knowledge, educational credentials, issues and policies.
  • Supervise two Assistant Directors, guiding management of their regional responsibilities.
  • Develop and manage recruitment of international territories, as assigned to include pipeline development, prospect, inquiry and applicant pool.
  • Utilize CRM and other appropriate platforms to engage students, parents, and counselors throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from all international constituents.
  • International recruitment travel.
  • Represent the University at international recruitment events: college fairs, college panels, etc.
  • Conduct admissions interviews, programs, workshops, and seminars designed to inform parents, students, and other appropriate constituent groups.
  • Complete expense reports and maintain records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in undergraduate processing, financial aid, Center for International Student Services, and the College of Professional Services ( ELI, Interlearn)
  • Participate in domestic on-campus and field events, as assigned.
