Job Summary:

This position will report to the Head Ice Hockey Coach. The position will be responsible for the Administrative Operations and Video Breakdown/Analysis of the Ice Hockey program. This position will support the mission of the athletic department consistent with the policies of Miami University, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and other appropriate governing bodies (i.e. Mid-American Conference, National Collegiate Hockey Conference).

 

Duties/Physical Demands:

  • Manage and coordinate all video/editing and set up for home and away varsity games
  • Prepare and monitor team travel budget. Book all team travel details
  • Assist Head Coach with tracking of the day-to-day budget expenses.
  • Coordinate all tendency and teaching video for all pre-scouting and post-game video analysis.
  • Coordinate all technology and software upgrades associated with the Ice Hockey program
  • Coordinate the administration of all hockey team travel.
  • Coordinate all home game meals.
  • Coordinate the video exchange policy with our opponents.
  • Coordinate all team related community service, including the youth hockey programming associated with varsity hockey student-athletes.
  • Act as the Hockey liaison to the Game Day Operations, Marketing, and Athletic Communication staffs.
  • Complete between 3-6 weeks of work required by the Miami Hockey School
  • Assist Assistant Coaches with on-campus recruiting duties
  • Act as the Ice Hockey staff liaison to the Blue Line Support Club
  • Assist with the Ice Hockey annual Senior Recognition
  • Complete all other duties assigned by the Head Hockey Coach.
  • Participating in ICA department activities, including service on committees and attendance at all scheduled meetings - committed to the direction of the athletic department.
  • Attending Ice Hockey staff meetings as designated by the Head Coach

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Demonstrated experience with the sport of Ice Hockey*

Ability and willingness to work long hours and weekends, including early mornings and evenings

*Experience gained through Graduate Assistantships, Internships, and Volunteer work may count toward the required qualifications.

 

Desired Qualifications:

Master's Degree

Division 1 Ice Hockey coaching or administrative experience

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Video Editing Experience

Competency with Word Processing and Spreadsheet Applications

Ability to work with diverse individuals and promote an inclusive environment.
