Purpose of Position
Primary recruiter of international students to our university, traveling extensively to maintain current markets as well as to build up new international student pipelines. Primary contact for prospective international students; encouraging them to apply to NKU, helping them with the application process, and answering any questions they may have. Expected to present information about NKU dynamically and confidently both virtually and in-person to large audiences. Will also perform other duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities
  • Travel for 10 – 15 weeks per year for the purposes of international student recruitment including participation in overseas fairs, visiting relevant educational institutions, and hosting events for prospective students.
  • Maintain relationships with overseas recruitment partners, evaluate potential new partners, and dismiss partners as it becomes necessary.
  • Plan and participate in armchair recruitment initiatives including webinars, virtual fairs, and virtual open house events.
  • Manage international student data in SLATE CRM, including reporting on international student admissions statistics and other important market intelligence.
  • Create and maintain international communications within SLATE, including drip campaigns, deadline reminders, and other admissions-related messaging.
  • Maintain relevant and up-to-date information on the ISSS and AELP websites.
  • Communicate with prospective international students and families throughout the recruitment cycle, including one-on-one meetings (virtual or in-person) and other personalized communications.
  • Work with the Intercultural Programs Coordinator to provide orientation and onboarding for incoming international students.
  • Interview incoming international students about their admissions and recruitment experience.
  • Assist the Director of ISSS in other projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Must have superior communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills.
  • Must have a current passport or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be able to lift own luggage for travel.
  • Must be able to work well under the rigors of extensive international travel (10 – 15 weeks per year)
