Join innovative faculty in the Department of Teacher Development and Educational Studies at Oakland University. We seek to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor with expertise in Educational Psychology and PK-12 Special Education. We seek individuals interested in teaching in our newly redesigned initial certification program using pedagogical practices aligned with educational equity and social justice. We also welcome applicants with expertise in program leadership, school-university partnerships, practice-based teacher preparation, or teaching quality. We value candidates who can work collaboratively across departments and institutional boundaries and participate in sustained engagement with local schools and organizations in Southeast Michigan. Responsibilities: Teach courses in Educational Psychology and PK-12 Special Education to students enrolled in our undergraduate and graduate initial certification programs.

Appointment begins August 2022 for the 2022-2023 academic year. This appointment may be eligible for annual renewal up to three years. The salary for this position is competitive and accompanied by a substantial benefits package.

Candidates are expected to have: 1) Earned doctorate (or ABD) in educational psychology, special education or related area. 2) Three years minimum of successful teaching experience at the PK-12 level. 3) Recent professional experiences within PK-12 schools.
