The Department of Management in the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University has an opening for a Visiting Instructor of Management for the 2022-23 academic year.

Within this setting, the Parker College of Business seeks to produce career-ready professionals by offering a broad array of high quality undergraduate and select graduate programs within a learning environment characterized by inspired teaching, relevant research, and meaningful service. In turn, the Department of Management offers a BBA in Management with concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Hospitality Management, and Human Resource Management.

Position Description: Reporting to the department chair, the visiting instructor of management will primarily focus on teaching a combination of entrepreneurship, leadership, and/or introduction to business courses (four sections in total per semester), along with some limited service responsibilities. This is an academic year appointment for the months of August 2022 through May 2023. All visiting positions are non-tenure track appointments, with the possibility of reappointment based on funding availability and satisfactory performance for up to two years. The second year is a terminal year, without exception. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:
• Earned master's degree (MBA) or higher in business administration, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in business from an AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited institution by August 1, 2022.
• Initial (and continual) faculty qualification according to AACSB guidelines.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate in entrepreneurship, leadership, or a related field.
• University-level teaching experience in entrepreneurship or leadership.
• Related industry experience.

Conditions of Employment:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without assistance from the institution.
• All work (with limited exceptions such as research and study abroad and outside activities such as grading and email correspondence) for Georgia Southern University must be completed while the employee is physically present in the state of Georgia, unless specifically authorized by the university for a specific purpose and limited period of time within current policy.
• Faculty are expected to contribute to the vibrant university community by engaging students, participating in events, and performing other responsibilities on-
