To help advance this mission, we are seeking a distinguished applicant to fill one professional-track (non-tenure) clinical faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or professor (depending on qualifications) for a full-time Internal Medicine position. This position is located in Austin, Texas, and will be co-funded (50/50) with Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin (ASMCA) and The College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin with a practice site at ASMCA.

While on-site at ASMCA, faculty members will be embedded in the de-centralized clinical pharmacy team and meet operational department expectations as appropriate. Faculty members will provide service to the college, hospital, university, and broader professional community. The primary practice focus of this position is adults admitted to academic and/or community inpatient internal medicine services. Candidates with a strong background in cardiology and infectious diseases are preferred. The faculty member will be expected to supervise pharmacy students and residents to help them learn how to care for patients with acute and chronic conditions. The successful individual will have interests in developing inter-professional collaborations to advance pharmacy practice, research, and scholarship. We aim to be an exemplar of intersectional and inclusive excellence through a rigorous approach to the understanding of intercultural engagement in our ever-expanding global world and knowledge economy. More on our commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion can be found here.
